Welcome to Agency OS. Think of it as a team of AI specialists that lives inside the Claude desktop app. You talk to it in plain words, and it does the work of a marketing and sales team. It writes, it plans, it researches, and it checks its own work.
The big difference from a blank chat is memory. Agency OS starts by learning your business: your story, your customers, your offer, and how you sound. It keeps that on your computer, and every tool reads it before it writes a single word. So the work sounds like you, and you never have to explain your business twice.
In this guide, we'll go through every part, one section at a time. You don't need to be technical. If you can type a sentence, you can use all of it.
What makes it different from a blank chat is memory. Agency OS starts by learning your business: your story, your customers, your offer and how you sound. It saves that on your computer, and every tool reads it before it writes a word. So the work sounds like you, and you never explain your business twice.
A short interview captures your story, your voice and your goals. Everything after builds on it.
Eight builds take you from who your customer is to how you sell and deliver, each one feeding the next.
A toolkit of specialists handles the daily work: blogs, ads, emails, video, SEO, proposals, cash flow and more.
You do not need to be technical. If you can type a sentence, you can use every part of it.
Opening Agency OS
Everything in this guide happens in the Claude desktop app, in its Code tab. No terminal needed. If you have not installed Agency OS yet, follow the setup guide first.
Read the narration
Everything you'll see here happens in the Claude desktop app, in the Code tab. There's no terminal involved.
Open the Claude app, and click Code at the top. At the bottom of the window, check that the mode says Local. If it doesn't, click it and switch. Then click Select a folder, and choose the Agency OS folder you made during setup. That folder is where your business memory lives, so always open the same one.
Now type a forward slash, and you'll see a list of commands. In that list, Agency OS commands show with the plugin name in front. Picking from the list is the easiest way. A great first one is first win.
- Open the Claude desktop app. From Applications on a Mac, or the Start menu on Windows.
- Click the Code tab at the top of the app.
- Check you are in Local mode. The mode selector sits at the bottom of the window. If it does not say Local, click it and switch.
- Select your Agency OS folder. Click "Select a folder" and pick the folder you created during setup. Your business memory lives here, so always open the same folder.
- Type a command. Type
/to see the list. Start with/first-winor/agency-os.
/first-win. In the command list they appear with the plugin name in front, like /agency-os:first-win. Picking from the list is the easiest way.Your first 10 minutes: /first-win
The fastest way to see what Agency OS can do. Answer five questions and walk away with one finished piece of marketing, in about 10 minutes.
Read the narration
If you want to see what Agency OS can do, start with first win. It takes about ten minutes.
It asks you five questions, one at a time. What you sell and at what price. Who your ideal client is. The one thing you want most in the next thirty days. Where your clients come from today, and where you're stuck. And how your business should sound, including what it should never say.
Then it gives you something finished, based on your goal. If you want leads, you get an outreach message, a three email sequence, and a follow-up. If you want a clearer offer, you get a one line offer and a value stack. If you want visibility, you get three posts, ready to go.
It also saves a starter profile of your business, and shows you the road ahead. You decide when to take the next step.
The five questions
- What is your business, what do you sell, and at what price?
- Who is your ideal client?
- What is the one thing you most want in the next 30 days?
- Where do clients come from today, and where are you stuck?
- How should your business sound, and what should it never say or do?
Each question comes with an example, and short answers are fine. You can skip one if you need to.
What you get, based on your 30-day goal
| If your goal is about | You get |
|---|---|
| Leads, calls or clients | A message to open a conversation, a 3-email outreach sequence and a follow-up |
| Your offer or pricing | A one-line offer, a stacked list of what is included, and a risk reversal |
| Content and visibility | Three ready-to-post pieces for your main channel |
It also writes a starter brand profile, and it ends with a roadmap of the full builds. It does not start the next build on its own: you decide when.
Your brand profile: Build 1, Brand DNA
The Brand DNA is the foundation everything else reads. Run it with /build-profile, once per business.
Read the narration
Build one is your Brand DNA. It's the foundation every other tool reads, and you run it once per business, with build profile.
It's an interview about your story, how you work, how you sound, your goals, and how you'd like AI to help. The essentials take around fifteen minutes, and it also looks at content you've already written, so it learns your voice from real examples.
It saves your owner profile, your voice profile, a proof file of your real results, and a policy with the topics you never want touched. Two commands add to it. Deepen profile adds six questions on the way you see things. And build policy sets what needs extra review.
If you started with first win, don't worry. Agency OS fills in the gaps a question or two at a time, as you go.
It is an interview about your story, how you work, how you sound, your goals and how you want AI to help. The essentials take around 15 minutes, plus a look at content you have already written, so it can learn your voice from real examples.
What it saves
Your story, methodology, goals and preferences.
How you write and speak, so drafts sound like you.
Your real results and testimonials. Only what is in here can appear in your marketing.
Your publishing rule and the topics to never touch.
Two commands that add to it
Adds "The way you see things": six questions, about 5 to 7 minutes, on the beliefs that make your thinking yours. For profiles made before this layer existed.
Two questions: topics to never touch, and topics that need extra review. Nothing is published without your review.
The 8 builds, and how they connect
The builds are the backbone of Agency OS. Each one produces real documents for your business, and each one reads what came before.
Read the narration
The eight builds are the backbone of Agency OS. Brand DNA comes first. Then, for each product or service you sell: your customer, your offer, your funnel, your content, your ads, your sales, and your delivery.
Each build reads what came before. Your offer needs your customer. Your funnel needs your offer. Your ads need both. And if you have no ad budget yet, the ads build is optional.
The easy way through is the agency os command. It guides you build by build, remembers where you are, and picks up where you left off. If something already exists, it asks before it changes anything.
Type status any time to see what's done and what's next. And most builds start with quick research on your competitors, your industry, and platform trends, so the work is grounded in your market.
Build 1 runs once for your business. Builds 2 to 8 run for each product or service you sell. The order matters: your offer needs your customer, your funnel needs your offer, and your ads need both the offer and the funnel. Build 6, Ads, is optional if you have no ad budget.
The guided way: /agency-os
Type /agency-os and it walks you through the builds in order. It sets up your folder, remembers where you are, and picks up a half-finished build where you left off. If a build already exists, it asks before touching it: use it, update it, archive and replace it, or cancel.
Where am I? /status
/status shows which builds are done and tells you the next one to run.
Customer, offer and funnel: Builds 2 to 4
These three builds decide who you are talking to, what you are selling them, and the path that turns a stranger into a lead.
Read the narration
Builds two to four decide who you're talking to, what you're selling them, and the path that turns a stranger into a lead.
Build two, build avatar, maps your ideal customer: what they want, what keeps them stuck, and the change they're after. You confirm each step as you go.
Build three, build offer, shapes your offer. You get a value stack, pricing, a guarantee, bonuses, and a name.
Build four, build funnel, creates the path. You choose a lead magnet first, like a quiz, a calculator, or a scorecard. Then you get a funnel strategy, a landing page, and email and text message follow-ups.
Every build saves real documents in your folder, so you can read them, edit them, and use them straight away.
Share your product and a website or sales page link. It works through nine steps with you, confirming each one, and maps who your customer is, what they want, what keeps them stuck and the change they are after.
It asks about your current offer, price, how you deliver and your biggest sales challenge. You get a value stack, pricing, a guarantee, bonuses and a name for the offer.
A funnel strategy, a landing page, email and text message follow-ups, and setup notes. It asks you to choose a lead magnet first: a quiz, a calculator, a scorecard, an audit tool, or none.
Each build ends with documents saved in your folder. You can read them, edit them and use them right away.
Content and ads: Builds 5 and 6
Now you get seen. Build 5 gives you a month of content. Build 6 turns your offer into a lead ad campaign.
Read the narration
Builds five and six are about getting seen.
Build five, build content, gives you a full content system: ninety pieces and a thirty day calendar, plus a brand voice guide. The content moves from teaching, to building trust, to asking for the sale.
Build six, build lead ads, creates a Facebook and Instagram lead ad campaign, with ad copy variations, headlines, and visual ideas, and instant follow-up for every new lead.
Before you run build six, you'll need a Facebook page connected to Business Manager, a privacy policy link, a monthly budget, and your AI Lead Builder account for the follow-ups. No budget yet? Skip it, and come back when you're ready.
Tell it your website, industry, a few competitors and the platforms you use. You get a 90-piece content system, a 30-day calendar and a brand voice guide, in three tiers from teaching to trust to buying.
A Facebook and Instagram lead form campaign with ad copy variations, headlines and visual ideas, plus instant follow-up for every new lead.
Sales and delivery: Builds 7 and 8
Leads only matter if they become customers, and customers only stay if delivery is smooth. These two builds cover both.

Leads only matter if they turn into customers. And customers only stay if delivery is smooth. Builds seven and eight cover both.
Build seven, build sales, creates your sales system in seven phases: your pipeline stages, how fast to respond, call scripts, objection handling, and follow-up.
Build eight, deliver client, turns a new customer into a thirty day delivery plan, with milestones and handoff notes. You just tell it who the customer is, the work, the services, and the timeline.
Both builds open up as soon as the offer for that product is done.

The first is your dashboard: a branded web page in your folder that shows every build and your journey map. It updates by itself whenever a build saves its work. If you ever want to refresh it, type rebuild dashboard.
The second is your slides. A PowerPoint deck made from your builds, ready for a sales call, a pitch, or a team meeting. It opens in PowerPoint, Google Slides, or Keynote. Type rebuild deck, and it makes a fresh one from your latest work.

There are two ways to use a tool. If it starts with a slash, it's a command, and you type it. If it doesn't, it's a skill, and you simply ask for it in your own words. For example: chase these unpaid invoices, or audit my website for SEO.
The toolkit covers content and copy, video editing and repurposing, websites and SEO, sales and customers, and money and operations, like cash flow forecasts and profit by client. Not sure what's there? Just ask Agency OS to list every skill and command.

Your results, numbers, and testimonials come from your proof file. If it's not in there, it doesn't go into your marketing. When proof is missing, Agency OS marks a gap, instead of inventing something.
Independent graders check the work too. One checks claims. One scores persuasion, from attention through to action. And one checks your hooks. If a draft contains a claim that isn't in your proof file, you get a warning, so you can fix it before anything goes out.
You can also ask for a critique of any finished piece. And most important of all: nothing is published for you. You review everything, and you decide.
Results, numbers and testimonials come from your proof file. No entry, no use. When proof is missing, it marks a gap instead of inventing it.
Independent checkers review the work: one for claims, one for persuasion (attention, resonance, belief and action, each scored out of 5) and one for hooks.
When a draft contains a claim that is not in your proof file, it flags it so you can fix it before anything goes out.

Just say it in plain words. New client, followed by the business name, creates a workspace for them. Switch to, and their name, loads their voice, their audience, and their files. And working on my stuff takes you back to your own business.
You can also set a workspace to English or German, with the language command.
| Say this | What happens |

| "Switch to Dr. Smith" | Loads their voice, positioning, audience and files |
| "Working on my stuff" | Switches back to your own business |

In the Code tab, ask Claude to update the Agency OS plugin to the latest version. Then fully quit Claude. On a Mac, that's Command Q. On Windows, quit from the system tray. Opening a new chat isn't enough. Then reopen the app, and you're on the new version.
Agency OS also tidies its own memory now and then, merging duplicate notes and clearing out stale ones. You can ask for that any time, too.
- Ask Claude to update it. In the Code tab, type "Update the Agency OS plugin to the latest version".
